Puppy Love

Last week Lily and I went to meet the puppies at Danny and Amy's house. Lily really loved them, almost a little too much at times. At one point she picked one up by it's neck and kind of tossed it. I thought Amy was going to have a heart attack. But luckily the puppy was fine. We think we will stick with the large doggies for our family :)!!!
p.s. sorry for the poor spelling on the last post-my father-in-law pointed it out. Poor Lily and baby S don't stand a chance at winning any spelling B's with parents like Bryan and I.

Shake Your Groove Thing!

Lily is a dancing machine lately. We must have at least an hour of video of her shaking her tail feathers from over a year ago till now. Well her rhythm has gotten a bit better over the last year. In the evening her Dad turns up the tunes while I am making dinner and they dance, dance, dance. This night she was really gettin' down so I had to grab the camera once again! I personally think she gets her moves from her Dad :)!

Sweet Baby Girl

Baby Girl Sitarski #2 was so cute today for her ultrasound. Here is a little video of her sucking her fingers. They tried forever to get her to smile for a 3D picture but her hand was hiding her face the entire time. She was being bashful!!
She is 3 pounds 8 ounces and is right on track for everything! Lily had to go with me today and was perfect for the almost hour during the ultrasound. Next ultrasound is July 20th!

BIG girl room!!

.

Lily's big girl bed was delivered this morning so when I got home from work we had to put all the pretty stuff on it!! The headboard isn't finished-need to get some stuff for it tonight and of course all her cute accessories aren't on the wall. But it's a start. We got her the pretty dresser a few weekends ago. I want this for my room. Knowing this girl, Daddy and I will be taking turns sleeping in it anyway!!

Green With Envy

I was thinking today how much I loved the pool when I was a kid. We were spoiled rotten, Danny and I, because we had a pool in our backyard since I can remember. We spent zillions of hours with friends and family in that pool. I just remember how much fun we had. It is THE coolest thing to see that love for fun, water and the pool through your kid's eyes. I was a little jealous of her today. She couldn't stop smiling. She loved every bit of it. When we were on the way there she kept saying "pool, pool" and making swimming motions with her arms. When we got there she didn't want to wait in line. She loved splashing mommy, laying on her belly, playing with Anne and Bill Gross and the Quicks and then the Slide..... Oh my goodness! Peggy suggested that I take her to the top and she would catch her at the bottom. I said "All by herself??" I had a knot in my stomach all the way up. She's my baby and the slide looked so big. Well, she doesn't think she's a baby. She LOVED it. Giggled all the way down. She got really good at slowing her self down so she wasn't going too fast. I think we climbed those stairs 20 + times. I was exhausted (still am) but it was so worth it. Thanks Peg for the nudge (she's the mother of 3 :) !!. These smiles tell it all.

Oh Yeah Mon!

This past weekend Chris and Amber told us about the Reggae Festival down in New Town (it's a great subdivision that reminds me of The Truman Show). It was outside in their open amphitheatre. It was a gorgeous night and Lily had a great time watching the band and dancing around with the other kids.

Will We Ever Get a Pool Day???

After my Dr.'s appointment this morning we wanted to head to the pool. Of course, it took forever to get sunscreen on, suits on, bag packed and eat lunch. When we finally headed out the door it started to cloud up! We (Lily and I) headed to McNair pool and Lily was saying "pool, pool" all the way there. We pulled up to an empty pool and a closed and locked gait. No sign-NOTHING!! I was not very happy. So we turned around and headed home. I am destined to be a pale ghost this summer. We pulled into the driveway and Lily was saying "Mommy, pool PLEASE!!" It was so pitiful. I decided to pull out the baby pool we had for her last year and fill it with water. Needless to say-she's a kid and she always makes the best of any situation!! She had a blast. Here are some pictures to prove it! We will try again tomorrow :)!!
The picture of her in the swing-she is singing "wheels on the bus" I love the picture with her eyes closed. Precious!

12 Step program

Does anyone know of a 12 step program for a 19 month old that may be addicted to watching "Finding Nemo"? Bryan decided the other night it would be fun to watch a Disney movie-since we haven't really shown her any yet. So we popped some popcorn and all snuggled up on the couch. She lasted her typical 20 minutes and then she was off the couch and playing. Well since then we have watched "Emo" as she calls it EVERYDAY!! I am now that parent I swore before I had kids and when I was pregnant I would never be. OH my gosh!! It's at least a hour of cleaning, organizing, nesting, showering, blogging that I get done each day now. I feel sooo guilty that she is watching it, yet so relieved!!

This has nothing to do with this post, but her hair is getting so long we put it in a pony the other day. (Hence the idea for the blog)!

We have a Dr. appt. tomorrow for Baby Girl Sitarski #2. It's my glucose screening-fun stuff. It will be the first appt. I have had to take Lily to. She does great with my Mom, grandma and Dad on Dr.'s appt.'s we will see how she does for Mommy.

Trying something new

With baby girl Sitarski #2 well on her way, we had to have someway to share her arrival and all the fun things Lily Marie is doing these days. We will try this blog thing for a while and see how we like it. I will still have the majority of family pictures on shutterfly.com and post updated pictures on here as well. I wanted to also figure out how to upload and post video!! OK-Elmo's world is almost over, time to entertain Miss Lily.
